The Team
Three people.
One ledger.
Forty two years.

Donna, Kim, and Terie · Machu Picchu, Peru

Founder. Author of the Canon.
Kim Yost
Kim Yost's first writing project was the Pumptitude series of motivational books, a trilogy in which Kim shared life lessons by telling his own stories of challenge, perseverance, and positivity.
Kim also began a family tradition of keeping a life chest, a place of honor to store important keepsakes. Both the Pumptitude lessons and the life chest concept became jumping off points for the Life Chest Adventure books, in which Kim appears as the great great grandfather of the main characters, cousins Josh and Bernie.
To create the most colorful, exciting, and accurate depictions of the locations in the novels, Kim and the team travel to each one. Experiencing the sights, sounds, scents and flavors of a place instills the stories, the descriptions, and even the dialogue with a special spark. Kim calls it the secret sauce.
Kim lives in Victoria, BC.

CEO. Life Chest.
Donna Atmore
Donna Atmore is the driving force behind the team's own Life Chest Adventures—she makes the “boots on the ground” experiences happen. From an up-close-and-personal visit with the terracotta soldiers of Xi'an in China, to an elephant ride in Thailand, to exploring an abandoned Spanish castle, Donna creates the itineraries and finds the expert guides that will inspire the team and get the creative juices flowing!
While on the life chest trips, Donna not only makes everything run smoothly, but adds her special insight and humor to the stories that are crafted on the road.
A world traveler in her own right, Donna lives with passion and intention, working with charities and foundations to help create a world of joy and compassion. She fills her life chest with memories of family and friends, accomplishments in business, and all the evidence of a life well-lived.

Continuity. The Universe.
Terie Spencer
Terie Spencer holds the key to the vault of stories that make up the Life Chest Adventure Series. As editor and writing partner, she knows every character intimately, right down to their quirks and their favorite coffee order. Terie is instrumental in helping form the main characters' arcs, making both their triumphs and struggles relatable to readers.
A theatre artist as well, Terie is mindful of the visual storytelling that is essential to action-oriented novels. She's learned a great deal about medieval weapons, futuristic lasers, and martial arts techniques over the years.
Ultimately, Terie lives and works by “the power of the AND,” one of the first life chest lessons Josh and Bernie experienced. Add another battle? Sure! Put more booby-traps in the path of the treasure? You bet! Send the heroine into space? OK, and through a wormhole as well!
From the Field
The books are written where the stories were walked.
